Sergey Altukhov, the Vice-Governor of the region, held a meeting with the foreign guests in the administrative office of the region. The parties discussed the issues of hosting the 14th Conference of partnering cities of Russia and Germany in Krasnodar in the summer 2017.
The German delegation incorporated the Executive director and Forum Board member Martin Hoffmann, the Project manager Anna Keiser, the coordinator of Internship program for media Marcel Blessing-Shumilin and the Chairman of the Federal Association of German communities "West-East" Peter Franke. Olga Zakharova, the member of the Board of the International association "Twin-cities", also contributed to the dialogue – as reported by the Press-Service of the Administration of Krasnodar region.
The decision to hold the permanent Conference of partnering cities of Russian and Germany in the very capital of Kuban is of particular importance since Krasnodar and Karlsruhe will celebrate 25th anniversary of twin-city relationships in 2017.
As pointed out at the meeting, it was decided to hold the 14th Conference of partnering cities of Russia and Germany in Krasnodar in June 2017. In this regard, Sergey Altukhov proposed to organize a bilateral working group and in the near term to discuss the organizational matters related to the Conference, inter alia, to determine a forum for its holding.
