The foreign business reps were invited on behalf of the Governor of Kuban in course of the German-Russian economic conference held in the German city Bad-Pyrmont. The negotiations with the potential investors were led by the Deputy Head of the region Sergey Altukhov.
The head of the regional department of investments and SME support Vasily Shvetz also attended the conference. The participants of the host country were ex-chancellor of Germany Gerhard Schroeder, Minister of Finance of Lower Saxony Peter-Jürgen Schneider, Minister of Economy of Lower Saxony Olaf Lis and more than 100 reps from large and medium companies.
During the conference, Sergey Altukhov told about the economic potential of Kuban, investment conditions established for the business community, regional investment projects on the development of alternative energy sources, balneology and mountain resort Lagonaki, construction of toll motorways, as reported by the Press-Service of the Administration of the region.
– The investors of Lower Saxony are keen on localization of the machine-building production in Krasnodar region to manufacture agricultural machinery, detachable equipment and truck trailers, - as Sergey Altukhov commented the outcome of the negotiations. – In addition, the German business reps do not rule out a possibility of placing solar battery production lines, enterprises on manufacturing marine containers and processing solid wastes in the region. Besides, they are willing to participate in the construction of alternative toll motorways and projects on the development of the region’s marine port logistics.
It is expected that in October 2016 a delegation from Lower Saxony will visit the region on a business mission. It will include over 40 reps from the Ministry of Economy of the region, industrial and agricultural companies. It is planned to organize a meeting between foreign guests and senior management of the administration of Krasnodar region, conduct B2B negotiations with the chiefs of Kuban enterprises and inspect Kuban enterprises during the visit.
